A highway. A hypochondriac car thief, a shady surgeon, a tantalising yet naïve young girl who works in a call centre and falls in love with a voice. A suitcase filled with old-fashioned surgical instruments and endless tunnels. These are the elements mixed into “The speed of Light”, a crime thriller laced with icy humour, in which the lead characters decide rather than submit to their fate, chased by their own ghosts. All three enter a dead-end tunnel, pulled in by its promise of an ambiguous triangle that combining innocence and eroticism, though, in the end, they are sucked into a mortal trap.
