Samuele was once a famous comedian. Together with Luca, his partner under the spotlight, he was once very popular. Then Samuele – Sammy for his admirers – started drinking, and the audiences stopped laughing. Caterina, his girlfriend, left him for Luca, and his life began a dizzying downward slide. A number of years have gone by, and now Samuele – cured of his drinking – has a small cabaret nightspot and lots of memories. Then, one evening, his old friend Luca is murdered. The prime suspect is Caterina. For years the couple has consumed large quantities of cocaine, and they were always fighting.
