Lara, a police crime-scene investigator, moves in with her Aunt Carina, a former investigator herself, little knowing that the man she secretly fell in love with at the Police Academy, Chief Luca Manara, has just been transferred to the same small Tuscan town.  Their renewed acquaintance starts off on the wrong foot, as Lara, letting her emotions get the best of her, slaps Luca at a crime scene.  But throughout the twelve episodes, during which they solve crimes with the expert, warm-hearted aid of Aunt Caterina, they discover that they are indeed a perfect match.
