Anna gets along with her granddaughter Alessia better than with her own three children. After inheriting an old house from an uncle, Anna’s whole life is turned upside down. She runs into Guido, an old love whom she left to marry a richer husband. He still loves her, allowing Anna to glimpse the possibility of a new life. Meanwhile Alessia falls in love for the first time. As for Anna's three children, they encounter one problem after another with funny, touching results.
