The eyes of Vincenzo, today a man of eighty-three, look back in time at memories of the journey that he and thousands of others from Italy’s Calabria Region made to Argentina.
A boy of fourteen at the time, the voyage marked the end of Vincenzo’s childhood. The docu-drama presents the accounts of both immigrants and those who stayed behind, using images, interviews, photographs and letters to reveal the full drama of the wave of immigration that swept over Southern Italy from the 1800’s to the 1950’s.
