The filming in Tunisia of "I am with you" - the new movie by the director and screenwriter Guido Chiesa - has been completed and the editing is being realized. The film tells the story of a girl who lived in Galilee two thousand years ago: Mary of Nazareth. Thanks to her, with the birth of her son Jesus, the history of mankind embarks on a new course. Mary is portrayed as a woman capable of following her instinct, enhanced by her role as a mother, through a healthy balance with rationality. Even at the cost of going against the law and society, as her son will later do.  The decision of filming in the Tunisian countryside was taken - as Guido Chiesa said - "in order to seek a cultural and anthropological habitat with living conditions as close as possible to those of the Palestine of 2.000 years ago". For the same reasons, the cast includes "local actors, often non-professionals, and sometimes actual non-actors, starting with the young Mary, the girl who becomes Joseph's bride". The idea is "to make the film and the acting as natural as possible...enhancing the contrasts between the humble and the powerful, starting from the way they speak, communicate through gestures, and move before the camera". The film is produced by Magda Film and Colorado Film, in collaboration with Rai Cinema, and it will be internationally distributed by Rai Trade.
