Laura, born to a family of modest economic means, has married well and appears to be a loving wife and mother.
But once she gives in to the temptation to try cocaine, her life falls apart. She starts lying and scheming to pay her
drug debts, but no one, not even her immediate family, notices that anything is wrong. Until she causes a frightful
car accident that puts both her and her children in the hospital and reveals her habit. Her husband leaves her, winning custody of the children. Only after a long, painful process of rehabilitation, is Laura able to put her life back on
track.
