From December 14 to 21, 2003, the grand reopening of the Teatro La Fenice was highlighted by a week of great concerts. Orchestras, choirs, soloists and world-famous conductors greeted the rebirth of this opera house, fully restored after the arson of 1996. In November 2004,the opera season, concerts and other events planned for 2004 and 2005 shall resume at this venue for good. To mark this occasion, Lorin Maazel will conduct the comeback production of La Traviata, which was composed by Giuseppe Verdi specifically for La Fenice.
