Every year, on the 24th and 25th of May, the look of the little French town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer completely transforms itself. The colors change, the sounds are different, the people change. Indeed during these two days, for several years, thousands of Gipsies, Rom and Manouches have gathered in the small city roads, to celebrate Sara the Black, their protective Saint and the two Marias, Maria Salomè and Maria Jacobè. The film is a docu-fiction of 56’: the religious pilgrimage and the Gipsy celebration.
