Two films, Cher Monsieur Cézanne and Les Amantes de Cézanne, take a look at the artist from the perspectives of Charles Juliet, a renowned French writer who describes how Cézanne did not come into his own until his late forties, following the death of his overbearing father, and Andréa Ferréol, a well-known French actress who wants Aix-en- Provence, hometown of both herself and Cézanne, to honour the artist with a statue.
