In order to study interpersonal relations in the most varied environments, a good-looking American journalist, John Knot, is carrying out an investigation into AIDS. In Paris, he meets again the young Joelle Lavoisier, a French photographer beloved to Beirut, who reveals him a child was born from their relationship. Determined to marry her, on the eve of marriage Knot discovers to be HIV positive.
