From a FIT and RaiTrade joint venture originates the free-to-air satellite thematic channel SuperTennis, on SKY's platform Channel 224. It is among the leading Sports Channels on the satellite platform, also available to those who possess a satellite dish and decoder without a subscription. SuperTennis is an appointment with tennis 7 days a week, 365 days a year. SuperTennis broadcasts news, didactics, programmes with technical and historical contents, tournaments, current events and interviews to the great tennis celebrities. Massimo Caputi, Lea Pericoli and Nicola Pietrangeli are some of the famous faces on this channel. SuperTennis is presented as an addition to the tennis offered on SKY-Eurosport and as part of events of greater importance on the international circuit, such as the Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open, Master Series and the WTA tournaments. SuperTennis intends to give visibility to the many national and international activities that take place in Italy and that don’t have an adequate television coverage. The FIT (Federazione Italiana Tennis) is the first Italian sport federation to create its own television channel and to offer live events, becoming an official source of Tennis news. The Rai Archive is one of the vital promoters of this project, as it guarantees the availability of images for the realisation of the editorial products.
