Under the crowded streets of Rome, historic and archaeological treasures are hidden. There were some odd discoveries: a colony of crabs in the channels underneath the Mercati Traianei, a few meters away from the Coliseum, the frescoes in the Hypogeum of the Via Livenza, ten metres underground in the centre of Italy's largest city.
