Giovanna is a courageous and determined little girl. She is happy and sweet-tempered. She lives in a town that is so big it leaves little room for children. We see her alone at home with Ciccio her dog, surrounded by books because she loves reading. She loves to dream and to day-dream. Her dreams lead her to Tommasone the dragon and in his magic forest they have all sorts of adventures. There are plenty of baddies: but even the wicked baron Gualtiero who lives morosely and never takes off his armour, is totally evil. And the children don’t need to worry too much: despite the fact that he is armed to his teeth, he is always defeated in the end.
