Aladdin’s adventures is a television series inspired by the famous collection of traditional Oriental folk tales by the same title. Each episodes features Aladdin, a poor young man in love with princess Budur, Caliph Harun’s daughter, and their friend the Genie. Their enemy is Kufor the sorcerer who longs for Aladdin’s magic lamp. Through the series Aladdin’s and Budur will face various adversities, always succeeding thanks to the their cleverness and their love for each other. Backgrounds and characters are based on the artworks by Emanuele Luzzati, one of the most famous contemporary Italian artist. Painter,illustrator and ceramicist, Luzzati also worked as costume and stage designer and together with Giulio Gianini, realized such animated masterpieces as  “THE MAGIC FLUTE” or “PULCINELLA”.
The realization of the series relies on computers but with reference to the traditional hand-made cut-out animation.
